This product gives you a lot of options to work with, which are helpful for a beginer. I dont think it is product for a pro.

I have been enjoying it and so far my experience has been satisfactory. Will keep you posted.

I received this product from Amazon Vine program. It costs approximately the same price as Photoshop Elements, Microsoft Picture It, Microsoft Digital Image Suite, Corel Photopaint which I formerly used.

Installation went smoothly and after that, it downloaded the latest update from Serif web site. However, before I can use the software, the registration wizard keeps prompting to call the the toll-free number 1-888-644-2766. If I do not wish to register by pressing Quit, the program ends immediately.

I called the number, the office was closed at 6PM EST. How can I use the sofware then?

Don’t bother. I go back to Photoshop Elements. This is the first time in my life, I was forced to register a sofware before even using it. It should not behave that way. It should allow people to use it and periodically it reminds the users to register until certain time, it stops running.

Well the product itself doesn’t suck but the support and the registeration process is terrible. I would NOT recommend this product unless you’re into infomerical (at registeration) and frustration.

I should add this product is geared towards experienced photo editing not your everyday scrapbooking, etc. It’s as good as Photoshop in many ways and I have had no trouble and did not need any tutorials. I suspect that doing the upgrade bypassed a lot of the installation hassles. It is a chore and they could avoid a lot of frustration by telling you that online registeration is possible. They have you call so they can try to convince you to buy other products. The call is to England per a sales rep so not should why the eastern time is listed? I have no issues with the working softwear only the control Serif seems bent on holding over its users. I don’t recommend this program for anyone other than experienced photo editing folks. Quite the learning curve!

I bought this product this afternoon after reading these reviews thinking may there was someone being mistaken about this the company making the product that has such great reviews from some professional sources…well I have to say this company cannot brag on its customer service procedures..if you call you get no answer..sooo you register online and you are emailed an registration code that is “invalid” so the program will not open…I have never bought a program like this and I do not plan to keep this one I will be sending back to serif for a refund. I will look around a little while longer and search customer policies first before then see what the company has to offer in the way of a product.

PhotoPlus X3 is Awesome! First off, you get PhotoPlus X3 (the product you are buying). This comes bundled with PanoramaPlus 3. The paperwork inside also lets you know that if you register the program, you will get a free bonus program: MontagePlus. This is great!

This program worked great on my Windows Vista 64-Bit machine. I know this sounds a little silly to mention, but some software still has troubles on a 64-Bit machine (or with Vista).

After installing, I tried to run it. I was presented with the typical, “Please register your software!” screen. You can not run the program without first registering (it will just exit if you avoid registering). The software and paperwork only refer to registering via phone, but their website also works great! I got an e-mail a day later with instructions on downloading MontagePlus. Registering before being able to use it was a little annoying, but not all that bad.

PhotoPlus X3 is not your simple image editor. It is VERY robust, and gives you granular control over your images. It might seem a bit much if you just want to brighten up your holiday images, whiten teeth and remove some red eye. This software does SO much more and would come in handy if you are transferring a large amount of pictures from slides or old pictures to digital format on your computer. You can clean them up, correct the brightness and color balance and get rid of any nasty defects that the physical photos may have sustained!

Be forewarned, this program has a bit of a learning curve. As awesome as “so easy, your 3-year old could do it!” sounds, this is not one of those occasions. This is a professional tool, and you are going to want to get a copy of some of your photos, throw them in a test folder and play with them as you go through the tutorials and see just how powerful this program is. Don’t be frightened though, I decided to jump in with a specific mission in mind, and find how to do it in the tutorials, and get some good results fairly quickly. There are no large buttons to hit that “just fix it” – this fixes it to your precise specifications. If you already do some high level image editing though, you should feel at home with all of the features.

I was amazed at all of the tools and options available in PhotoPlus X3. The interface should be familiar if you have used other image editing tools. Tools and options are easily found, and many of the key combinations are ones I have used before and am used to. PhotoPlus doesn’t try to confuse you with a different interface, or awkward keyboard shortcuts. I found this very nice. I also found all of the fine tuning available to every option impressive. I was able to remove items from photos, fix lighting and colors on pictures taken in low light conditions, and do just about anything I have come up with on my photos with PhotoPlus X3! The image format support is impressive, and the list of features is HUGE! One feature that really makes me happy is Batch Processing! I have not had anything to throw at it but I tend to find myself needing to do tedious work on many files on occasion, and features like this really save the day (or week)!

If you really want to professionally edit and work on your photos, I recommend PhotoPlus X3! If you just want something simple that will remove red eye, and maybe brighten an image or two on occasion, you might want something a bit simpler. However, if you do purchase this product, you are in for a box full of AWESOME! Serif has dome some Excellent work putting together this product!
